To achieve the pictured shade, you must use House of Kolor KD3001 black primer below this color. (You could also use silver if you want a more in-your-face, vibrant red.) For kandy basecoats a black base is a must, because House of Kolor formulated these colors to provide the best representation and flop\/pearl effect over black.
